Earlier this semester, we opened our doors for the Office of Sustainability’s Fall 2026 Open House, welcoming students, faculty, staff, and community members to stop by, meet our team, and explore the many ways to get involved with sustainability on campus. Held in our office space, the event gave us a wonderful chance to introduce ourselves for the fall semester and share the work we’re doing to build a greener future at UC Merced.
Our guests enjoyed an afternoon full of activities, from games and bingo to hands-on DIY projects and a photo booth, along with raffles, prizes, and snacks. Beyond the fun, the Open House let us connect one-on-one with visitors, share what we have coming this year, and point everyone toward the programs, events, and volunteer opportunities we offer for those looking to make a difference.
We were thrilled by the energy and turnout, which reflected the growing enthusiasm for sustainability across our campus community. Whether our guests were longtime advocates or just beginning to explore how they could get involved, we were glad to offer something for everyone and a warm welcome to all that our office has to offer.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make our Open House a success. We can’t wait to see you at our next event. Be sure to keep an eye out to stay up to date on our upcoming events!
